Maher Hemissi

VP & Chief Information Technology Officer at Ivanhoé Cambridge

Since 2021, Maher Hemissi has been Vice-President and Chief Information Officer of Ivanhoé Cambridge. In this role, he oversees the development and implementation of a successful long-term strategic plan for information technology (IT) management. He is also leading efforts to ensure the evolution of Ivanhoé Cambridge's IT model, which is considered the foundation of the company's current digital acceleration.

Maher is a multidisciplinary leader with extensive experience in information technology, post-merger and acquisition integration, and digital transformation for the financial services industry, as well as a strong track record of driving transformation programs and building and lead high performing teams on an ongoing basis. The fact of having worked for almost 25 years for organizations in the investment industry has allowed him to acquire an excellent knowledge of this sector.

Maher spent 14 years at Fiera Capital where he held various IT-related roles, culminating in his appointment in 2015 as Chief Technology Officer of the firm's Canadian division. In fall 2019, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Commercial Technology for Maples Group, a global leader in legal, fiduciary, fund, regulatory and compliance services, and entity formation and management for hedge funds and private equity investment managers.

Maher holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the Preparatory Institute for Scientific and Technical Studies (Tunis, Tunisia), a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the National School of Computer Sciences (Tunis), and a master's degree ( with distinction) in computer engineering from the École de technologie supérieure of the University of Quebec (Montreal).
