Head, Sustainable Investing at Ivanhoé Cambridge

Stéphane Villemain is responsible for all of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. It defines an evolving CSR and sustainable investment strategy with the main groups and business units. He sets up a work structure and oversees our sustainability initiatives at the property, regional office and corporate department levels. Among other things, he works to manage the risks and opportunities related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in our investments, such as climate change, the reduction of carbon emissions or the well-being of occupants.

Before joining Ivanhoé Cambridge in January 2020, Stéphane was Chief Director, Responsible Investment at Investissements PSP where he participated in defining and implementing the strategy, policies and action plans related to ESG factors in investments. He was previously Senior Director, Climate Change and Sustainable Development at Ernst & Young from 2012 to 2016. He also held positions of increasing responsibility in CSR and Sustainable Development for Deloitte and its clients between 2007 and 2012.

Stéphane is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique (Paris) and the National School of Rural Engineering of Water and Forests (AgroParisTech), and holds a master's degree in civil and environmental engineering from McGill University.
