Arash Mohammady is a Research Assistant at the Joint BioEnergy Institute, utilizing synthetic biology techniques to engineer plants and optimize growth efficiency through targeted genetic modifications. Previous experience includes serving as a Notary Public for the National Notary Association and as a Sales Associate at REI, where responsibilities encompassed maximizing sales and enhancing customer retention. Arash has also interned at QB3, conducting experiments in microbial biology and analyzing data, and participated as an Academic Intern at BJC, tutoring UC Berkeley students in computer science. An earlier internship with NASA involved engaging in career simulations and leading a capstone project. Arash holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbial Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and an Associate's degree in Biology from Ohlone College.
