D'ontreye Nero is an experienced professional with a career spanning from 2003 to 2023. In 2003, they began their career as a University Webmaster at Florida A&M University, where they were responsible for constructing web applications and revamping the entire web presence. In 2008, they moved to UPS as a Senior Programmer Analyst, where they headed key operations associated with revamping the UPS Global Sales Directory application and managed and maintained the Address Consistency Improvement Project application. In 2014, they joined Altisource Labs as a UI Team Lead, where they oversaw all activities involved in defining and formulating conceptual design and managing user experience. In 2017, they moved to HD Supply as an Engineering Manager, where they led, grew, and managed high-performing engineering teams. In 2022, they joined HOVER Inc. as an Engineering Manager. In 2021, they moved to Partake as a Visual Food Guide, where they developed an app designed to let users see the dish before ordering it. Currently, they are the VP of Engineering at Kanarys, a technology company that provides the tools organizations need to create long-term, systemic change around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) challenges.

D'ontreye Nero holds a Master of Science in I.T. Management from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Additionally, D'ontreye is a Google Cloud Certified Cloud Digital Leader obtained in December 2022 and is in the process of obtaining a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
