Vidmantas Zemleris has been working in the software engineering industry since 2005. In 2010, they began working as a Software Developer at CERN. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Data Warehouse Developer at Vinted, where they used Spark, Impala, HBase, Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Oozie, Sqoop, Camus, Scala, Clojure, Java, and Ruby. From 2016 to present, they have been working as a Senior Software Engineer (freelance) at Kensu, where they have developed a data governance system to automate compliance with the GDPR law, and has worked on tools for big data analysis (spark-notebook) and data governance using Spark, Scala, Play, Kafka, OrientDB, etc.

Vidmantas Zemleris received their Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University between 2006 and 2010. Vidmantas then went on to become an exchange student at Westminster International University in Tashkent. Finally, in 2010 they began their Master's Degree in Computer Science at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), which they completed in 2013.
