John Landmark

John Landmark is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd in Australia. John has held this position since January 2017. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Exploration for Newmarket Gold Inc from August 2016 to December 2016.

John has over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. John began their career in 1979 as a Geological Technician and Student Geologist for Anglo American Corporation in South Africa. John then became a Staff Exploration Geologist for the company in South Africa and Namibia from 1986 to 1989. In 1989, they became a Staff & Senior Mine Geologist at Vaal Reefs Gold Mine in South Africa. John then moved to Australia to become the Planning Manager at Hilton Mine in 1996. In 1997, they became the Chief Geologist at Bronzewing Gold Operations in Western Australia. John then joined Kirkland Lake Gold as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs in 2017.

John Landmark has a Fellowship from the Vincent Fairfax Ethics Centre and a Masters and Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from James Cook University and the University of the Witwatersrand respectively.
