Fredrick Akuku

Fredrick Akuku has a diverse work experience in the agricultural sector. Fredrick began their career at Kancor Ingredients Limited as an Agronomist, where they oversaw training on agronomic practices and managed agricultural operations for a 100-acre chili farm. Fredrick also played a crucial role in expanding the cultivation area by bringing in new farmers. Afterward, they joined One Acre Fund as a Field Director and later became a Trials Manager, where they conducted field experiments to identify the best crop varieties and evaluated agricultural inputs. Fredrick then worked at GiveDirectly as an Internal Audit Coordinator before joining Komaza. At Komaza, Fredrick held various positions, including Senior Field Manager, Nursery Operations Coordinator, and their current role as Nursery Operations Director.

Fredrick Akuku obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Seed Science and Technology from Moi University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Fredrick then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Agronomy and Crop Science at the University of Eldoret from 2015 to 2017. In addition, Fredrick has an unspecified certification in Counselling.
