Dick Verhoeven

Dick Verhoeven has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the engineering and petrochemical industries. Dick currently serves as the Global Director Engineering and Reliability - Pine Chemicals at Kraton Corporation, where they are responsible for establishing best-in-class technologies and processes for safe and reliable operations. Prior to this, Verhoeven was the Sr. Director Operations Energy from Waste at Attero, overseeing three major sites in the Netherlands. Dick has also held positions at Kraton Corporation as the Director of Continuous Improvement and Project Director, and at Arizona Chemical as the Global Manager Plant Engineering. Verhoeven has previously worked at Dow in roles such as Project Director and EH&S Leader. Dick started their career at Equate Petrochemical Company as the Operations Director and later as a Sr. Project Manager. Verhoeven's diverse experience includes managing large capital projects, leading manufacturing organizations, and implementing strategic improvements.

Dick Verhoeven has a M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, which they obtained from 1987 to 1991. Dick also has a B.Sc. degree in Analytical Chemistry from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, which they completed in 1989. In 2007, they pursued a Master degree in Project Management at The George Washington University and completed it in 2011. Additionally, Verhoeven has earned several certifications, including "Accelerating Change Readiness and Agility" from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019, "Leading through Financial Excellence" from MIT Sloan Executive Education in 2018, and "EUR ING (Chartered or Professional engineer)" from FEANI in 2013. Verhoeven attended Jeanne d'Arc Mavo from 1976 to 1980 but did not obtain a degree there.
