Sergio Martínez Rodríguez

Sergio Martínez Rodríguez has held a variety of roles in the food industry since 2014. In that year, they completed a Leonardo da Vinci's internship at Karolinska Institutet, where they combined computer-assisted software, molecular biology and functional analyses to elucidate and confirm the effects of brominated flame retardants on the retinoid system. From 2015-2017, they were a Research Assistant at Karolinska Institutet - Miguel Hernández, conducting data analysis. In 2017, they became an R&D Trainee at Danone Dairy, where they were involved in product development and sensory evaluation. In 2019, they were R&D Manager at Herooj and also took on the roles of Director of EU Operations and Operations Project Manager at CURRENT FOODS, where they are responsible for new product development.

Sergio Martínez Rodríguez obtained a Bachelor's Degree in BIOTECHNOLOGY from Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche between 2010 and 2014. Sergio then obtained an M.Sc from Universitat de Barcelona in 2017. Additionally, in April 2020, they obtained a Food And Beverage Manager certification from Università Bocconi, and in January 2016, they obtained an IELTS - Advanced Certificate (C1) from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
