Tom Dower

Tom Dower is the current Vice President of Public Policy at LanzaTech. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Government Relations at ArcelorMittal from August 2012 to January 2021. Tom has also worked as the Senior Climate Advisor / Senior Advisor at the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation (Chairman Rockefeller) from July 2009 to August 2012, and as the Vice President at Lighthouse Consulting Group, LLC from August 2008 to July 2009.

Tom started their career in 1996 as the Deputy Chief of Staff / Leg. Director / Leg. Assistant / Leg. Corr. / Scheduler / Staff Assistant at the Office of U.S. Senator Arlen Specter. Tom then moved on to work at the US Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs (Chairman Specter) from January 1997 to March 1999, before returning to Senator Specter's office where they worked until 2008.

Tom Dower's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the School of Public Affairs at American University and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Keystone Jr. College.
