Kenny Kwan

Kenny Kwan has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Kenny is currently the Vice President of Software Engineering and Data Privacy & Security Officer at LifeHikes®. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Software and Cloud Engineering at Gibson Innovations (formerly Philips Lifestyle Entertainment Business Group) from November 2013 to February 2018. Before that, they held the role of Senior Manager of Software Development at Philips Consumer Lifestyle from October 2010 to November 2013. Kenny has also worked as the Engineering Manager at Movidius from January 2008 to September 2010, as the Engineering Team Lead at Radioscape from September 2006 to October 2007, and as a Staff Software Engineer and Digital Signal Processing Engineer at Broadcom from 1997 to 2006.

Kenny Kwan has an extensive education history. Kenny obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in IP and IT from The University of Hong Kong, completing their studies from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, specializing in General studies.

In 2005, Kenny attended Stanford University, where they obtained a Stanford Advanced Project Management Certificate in Project Management. Earlier in their academic journey, from 1998 to 2003, they studied at The University of British Columbia. Kenny graduated with a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree, focusing on Communication and Computer Systems.

Kenny Kwan also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) degree from Simon Fraser University, which they obtained between 1994 and 1998. Kenny majored in Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Digital Signal Processing.

In addition to their formal education, Kenny has acquired several certifications. In 2017, they received the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org. Kenny also completed the "Business Metrics for Data-Driven Companies" course and the "Introduction to Big Data" course, earning certificates from Coursera in 2016 and 2015, respectively.
