Charissa Jaganath has a diverse range of work experience, primarily focused on sustainability and corporate responsibility. Charissa is currently the Head of Responsible Business at Logicalis, where they developed a global strategy and empowered a team to drive sustainable change across various areas. Prior to this, they held the same role at Datatec Limited. Charissa also has experience as a Private Sector Engagement Manager at Concern Worldwide, where they developed partnerships and strategies for international markets. In the past, Charissa worked as the Group Manager for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development at Tiger Brands, the Project Manager for USAID Stepping Up to Sustainability at WESSA, an Environmental Scientist at Golder Associates, an Environmental Consultant at Enaq Consulting, a Conservationist and Environmental Educator at Global Vision International, and had various roles at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and Wetlands International.
Charissa Jaganath completed their education in a chronological order. Charissa obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Environmental Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2003-2005. Charissa then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours in Environmental Science from the same university in 2006-2007. Additionally, Charissa earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2007 to 2009. Subsequently, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Heriot-Watt University in 2012-2015. Apart from their formal education, Charissa also holds several certifications including a BBBEE Management Development Programme (MDP) from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2017, a Competition Law certification from ENSafrica in 2017, and various other certifications in fields such as climate change, business, diving, and emergency response.
