Faruk Caglar, PhD, is an accomplished professional in software engineering and research with extensive experience across various roles and companies. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Sensentia since November 2018, Faruk oversees a software engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software while aligning engineering strategies with business goals. As a Principal Research Scientist at Lun Startup Studio, Faruk focuses on federated learning and healthcare, developing innovative solutions and fostering collaborations for research outcomes. Previous roles include Staff Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where Faruk led projects in federated learning and cloud computing, as well as Solutions Architect at Pagos for cloud-based applications.
