Ian Waters

Ian Waters has a diverse work experience in the field of quality management and engineering spanning over several companies. Ian most recently served as the VP of Quality at Machine Specialties, Inc. Earlier, they held the role of Quality Engineering Manager at Crown Equipment Corporation for ten years, where they managed a multi-million-dollar warranty budget and played a key role in developing quality dashboards. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Quality at KDH Defense Systems, Inc., where they restructured the quality department and established functional teams. Ian also gained extensive experience at MSA - The Safety Company as a Quality Assurance/Six Sigma Manager and Senior Quality Engineer, where they led significant cost-saving initiatives and improved product quality. Ian began their career as an Industrial Engineer at General Motors, where they implemented process improvements and cost-saving measures.

Ian Waters earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University, which they attended from 1993 to 1997. Ian later pursued further education at North Carolina State University in 2007, earning a second Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Six Sigma Black Belt. Additionally, they obtained a diploma from Maine West High School from 1987 to 1991. Ian Waters also holds a certification in Six Sigma Black Belt from North Carolina State University.
