Eira Pohjanvaara-Kurkela has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eira started their career in 2001 as a Project Manager at Talent Partners/ Nokia. Eira then moved on to Talentum Media in 2004, where they served as a Manager in Legal Training for three years. Following this, they joined A-lehdet Oy in 2007 as an HR Development Manager. In 2010, they returned to Talentum Media, this time as a Manager in Legal Training until 2011. Eira then joined ManpowerGroup as an HR Manager from 2011 to 2014, after which they were promoted to HR Director until 2022. Currently, Eira is working at ManpowerGroup Deutschland as the Head of HR Business Partner, starting from January 2023.
Eira Pohjanvaara-Kurkela holds a Master's Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology (MSSc / VTM) from the University of Helsinki.
