Sook Meng Muk

Sook Meng Muk has extensive work experience in the technology industry spanning over two decades. Sook Meng'smost recent role is as a Senior Director of Engineering at Matillion since 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at Expedia Group for four years, where they held various positions including Director of Technology and Manager of Engineering. At Expedia, they managed teams of full stack engineers, technical product managers, and engineering managers, overseeing the development of commissions platform products and expanding team capabilities.

Before joining Expedia, Sook Meng Muk worked at Topia as a Technical Team Lead, where they recruited and managed a supply chain team responsible for breaking apart monolithic applications and implementing microservice architecture. Sook Meng also held leadership roles at 7digital and Unique Interactive within the radio industry, where they led development teams and worked on various radio technology products. Sook Meng began their career as a Java Developer at BCS Information Systems, working on banking software solutions.

Throughout their career, Sook Meng Muk has demonstrated strong technical skills in Java, Spring Boot, Angular UI, Kotlin, Java, Node.js, React, Spark, AWS, and various other technologies. Sook Meng has experience in managing teams, scaling operations, and implementing new technologies to drive efficiency and improve systems.

Sook Meng Muk completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Systems and Electronics from King's College London from 1997 to 2000. In addition to this degree, Sook Meng Muk obtained the Matillion Associate Certification from Matillion in February 2023 and completed a Machine Learning course from Coursera Course Certificates in March 2016.
