Fernando D. has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Fernando started their career as a trainee at Bergé y Cía in 2010, followed by trainee positions at SKBERGE S.A. and Mitsubishi Corporation in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

Fernando then joined ENCE - Energía y Celulosa in 2014, where they worked as a Business Analyst Intern, Project Business Analyst for biomass energy projects, Country Manager & Business Development Manager for biomass energy projects in India, and Gerente de desarrollo de nuevos proyectos de plantas de energía fotovoltaica (Solar PV Project Development Manager) responsible for developing a portfolio of 373 MW of solar PV projects in the south of Spain.

In 2020, Fernando joined Matrix Renewables as the Vice President (VP) of Development (EMEA & LATAM) - PV, overseeing business development in regions such as Chile, Colombia, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Fernando recently transitioned to the role of Vice President (VP) of Business Development Storage & Hydrogen - EMEA & LATAM, responsible for the Business Development Division of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Hydrogen projects in those regions. Fernando is also a delegated member of the board of Hyren company, focused on H2 projects.

Fernando D. completed their International Sales and Marketing degree at the University College of Northern Denmark from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended ESIC Business & Marketing School from 2009 to 2013, where they pursued a degree in Marketing y Gestion Comercial. Fernando also obtained additional certifications in English, including the Advanced Certificate of English Exam, the Business English Certificate Exam (BEC), and the First Certificate of English from Cambridge University.
