Peri Zelig

Associate General Counsel at Mellon Foundation

Peri Zelig joined the Foundation in December 2017 as the Foundation's assistant general counsel. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Zelig served as assistant general counsel at The Rockefeller University, where she advised the university on a broad range of legal matters including policy development, corporate and contract work, litigation, and regulatory and research compliance. Previously, Ms. Zelig was a litigation associate at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she represented clients across diverse industries in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including antitrust, securities, and insurance cases.

Ms. Zelig received her JD, magna cum laude, from New York University School of Law and was admitted to the Order of the Coif. She received a BA, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, with a major in political science and a minor in American history.
