Rory Blundell

Rory Blundell's work experience includes a role as Group Strategy Manager at Meridian Energy since March 2020. Before that, they worked at the Electricity Authority as the General Manager Market Performance from May 2015 to March 2020. Prior to that, they held various positions at Contact Energy Ltd, including Manager - Integrated Portfolio from July 2012 to May 2015, Manager - Trading Operations from September 2009 to July 2012, Wholesale Development Manager from March 2009 to September 2009, Spot Markets Manager from February 2008 to March 2009, Energy Portfolio Manager from November 2005 to February 2008, and Wholesale Market Analyst from August 2004 to November 2005. Rory also worked at Powerex as a Transmission/Quantitative Analyst from July 2003 to July 2004.

Rory Blundell pursued their education at The University of Auckland, where they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Engineering Science from 1995 to 1997. Following this, they went on to further their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Economics from 1998 to 1999.
