Eytan Bakshy

Eytan Bakshy currently serves as Director and Research Scientist at Meta, overseeing the Adaptive Experimentation team since February 2021. Prior to this role, Eytan Bakshy was a Research Manager at Facebook from June 2011 to February 2021, where Eytan Bakshy established an industry-leading Adaptive Experimentation team focused on advanced methods in Bayesian optimization, reinforcement learning, and automated experimentation. Eytan Bakshy also held the position of Research Scientist at Facebook, conducting applied research to enhance product strategy through large-scale experiments. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant role at the University of Michigan, where Eytan Bakshy investigated online communities and information diffusion, and a Research Scientist position at Yahoo!. Eytan Bakshy obtained a Ph.D. in Information from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
