Elena Forrister

Elena is Lab Technician 1 on the Materials team. She focuses on sample preparation and experimental research on the physical properties of silk protein.

Elena has previously supported academic research on novel photovoltaic materials via computational quantum chemistry, as well as photobiological wastewater chemical engineering. She has always had a passion for researching sustainability and practical solutions for reducing waste.

Elena earned her B.S. in Chemistry from Texas State University.
