James Richards

James Richards has extensive experience in communications and marketing. James is currently working as the Director of Communications at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, where they oversee external communications and collaborates with the marketing team. Prior to this, they ran their own marketing and communications consultancy, Richards Communications LLC, where they partnered with various organizations to develop and execute customized communications programs. James also has a background in public relations, having worked at Weber Shandwick, where they drove corporate reputation and managed communications for Fortune 500 clients. Before their career in marketing and communications, James served as a Social Security Disability Caseworker at Grimes Teich Anderson LLP and as a News and Production Coordinator at 88.1 WNCW Spindale.

James Richards attended the University of North Carolina Asheville, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies.
