Nick Kubala

Nick Kubala has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Nick'smost recent role is as the Director of Engineering at Navigator CO2, starting in January 2022. Before that, they worked at Navigator Energy Services, LLC as the VP of Engineering from December 2017 to January 2022. Prior to this, they held positions at Align Midstream Partners as an Engineering Manager from October 2016 to December 2017, and as a Sr. Process Engineer from June 2015 to October 2016. Nick also worked at Lucid Energy Group as a Process Engineer from March 2013 to June 2015, and at PVR Partners as a Process Engineer from September 2011 to March 2013.

Before entering the industry, Nick gained experience as a Consulting Engineer at Bryan Research & Engineering, where they specialized in process simulation and provided expertise in various areas of the industry. Nick started their engineering career as a Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines, where they co-authored and submitted publications in peer-reviewed journals and conducted laboratory work.

In terms of internships, Nick worked at Kinder Morgan CO2 as a Process Engineering Intern in 2006, where they were involved in optimizing production and analyzing membrane performance. Nick also interned at CenterPoint Energy in 2005 and 2004, where they supervised field projects and gained experience in design and modeling.

Nick Kubala holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, which they obtained from the Colorado School of Mines in the years 2008 to 2009. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the same institution from 2004 to 2008.
