Dr. Brent Nickischer

Dr. Brent Nickischer has had extensive work experience in the medical field. Dr. Brent most recently served as the Team Lead Medical Director for Optum starting in October 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Lead Medical Director for naviHealth starting in December 2018. Dr. Brent also has experience as a Physician at Patient First from August 2018 to August 2023. Before that, they held the position of Chief Medical Director/Physician at Physician Solutions Group from December 2014 to December 2018. Dr. Brent also worked as the Medical Director/principal/Physician/Clinical Instructor at Saucon Valley Medical Center from May 2010 to November 2014 and as the Medical director/physician/Clinical Instructor at Bethlehem Family Practice & Medical Center from April 2006 to April 2010. Dr. Brent started their career as a Physician/Assistant Medical Director at Airport Road Emergicenter from January 1998 to April 2006. Additionally, they served as the Chief Medical Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry at St. Luke's University Health Network from September 1995 to January 2003.

Dr. Brent Nickischer, DO, RRT, CMD obtained their DO degree in Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, they pursued Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania from 1982 to 1987. Additionally, they hold certifications such as Board Certification in Internal Medicine from the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons obtained in November 2023, Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine earned in 1998, and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care - NBRC obtained in 1991.
