Jeff Summers

Jeff Summers, P.E. has a strong background in mechanical engineering and construction. Jeff currently holds the position of Principal Engineer - Construction, Facilities at Neuralink since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Owner and Mechanical Engineer at Summers Engineering LLC from March 2021 to September 2021. Jeff also served as a Mechanical Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division from May 2020 to September 2021. Previously, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Tesla from October 2018 to May 2020. Jeff also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division from June 2017 to October 2018 and at Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) from August 2003 to June 2017. Jeff started their career as a Mechanical Engineering intern at Whirlpool in 2002. Jeff also has experience in field service and manufacturing engineering at Trumpf and Spectra Diode Laboratories (SDL) respectively.

Jeff Summers, P.E. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Evansville which they received between 1999 and 2003. Jeff also obtained an Associate of Science degree in Laser and Electro-Optics from Vincennes University from 1992 to 1994. Furthermore, they have received additional certifications as a Professional Engineer (PE) from the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in September 2018, as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers in April 2015, and as a PE Professional Engineer from the State of Indiana in December 2013.
