Shamus Anderson has a diverse work experience. In 2016, they were a Security Officer at Securitas Security Services USA, Inc., where they observed and reported activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. In 2015, they were a Head Club Hockey Coach at Brown University, a Boating Specialist/ Camp Counselor at Camp Akeela, and an Inside Sales Coordinator and Lift Operator, Shop at American Aerial Equipment. In 2014, they were an Inside Sales Coordinator at American Aerial Equipment, and in 2007 and 2008, they were an Umpire, Little League at Glocester Little League and Smithfield Little League, respectively.

Shamus Anderson attended Smithfield High School from 2009 to 2013, and then went on to receive an Associate's degree in General Studies from the Community College of Rhode Island from 2013 to 2016.
