Lucia Benabentos

Lucia Benabentos has extensive experience in corporate law and finance. Lucia is currently employed at New Fortress Energy as the Senior Vice President and Senior Counsel for Corporate, M&A, and Public Company matters since January 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President and Senior Counsel for LatAm Energy & Power, and Acting General Counsel for Brazil (M&A Integration) at New Fortress Energy from December 2020 to January 2022.

Before joining New Fortress Energy, Lucia worked at White & Case LLP as a Senior Associate in Project Finance and Capital Markets from February 2015 to December 2020. Lucia also gained valuable experience at Chadbourne & Parke LLP as an Associate in Corporate, Capital Markets, and Finance from November 2012 to February 2015.

Earlier in their career, Lucia worked as an Associate in Banking and Capital Markets at Linklaters LLP from September 2009 to November 2012. Lucia also had internships at Linklaters and Winston & Strawn LLP as a Summer Associate/Stagiaire in 2008 and 2007, respectively.
