Jorge Rivera-Agosto

Jorge Rivera-Agosto currently serves as the Assistant Deputy Counsel for Health, Mental Health, and Insurance and Associate Counsel at the New York State Senate since August 2021. Jorge also holds positions as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York Medical College and Hofstra University, and as an Associate Instructor at Columbia University. Previous experience includes roles as a Health Law and Clinical Ethics Fellow at Northwell Health, Associate Attorney at Michael Manoussos & Co PLLC, Lead Regulatory Specialist and Consultant at EmblemHealth, Legal Intern at the New York State Department of Health, Law Clerk at RSP & Associates Law Office, and Legal Intern at Servicios Legales de Puerto Rico, Inc. Education credentials include a Master of Science in Bioethics from Columbia University, a Doctor of Law from Inter American University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico. Additional educational experience includes a brief study at the American University Washington College of Law.
