Jalyn Smoot

Jalyn Smoot has a diverse work experience. They began their career as a Product Advisor at Microsoft in 2020 and later took on roles as an SMB/EDU Specialist, Web Sales and Support Specialist, and Certified MS Office Apps Trainer. In 2021, Smoot also worked as an Opinion Writer at North Texas Daily. From 2016 to 2023, they worked for Schneps Media as a Phillies Beat Reporter, Sixers Beat Reporter, and Eagles Beat Reporter. Prior to that, in 2021, Smoot was a Dallas/DFW Local News Reporter for NewsBreak. Their most recent position is as a Freelance Reporter for Major League Baseball starting in 2023.

Jalyn Smoot received their high school diploma from Plano West Senior High School in 2016. Jalyn then went on to attend Collin College from 2016 to 2020, where they earned their Associate of Arts degree in Radio, Television, and Digital Communication. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Broadcasting, and Digital Communication at the University of North Texas, with an expected completion in 2023.
