Formulation Scientist III at NextCure

Jane Rouse, M.S. has a diverse range of work experience. Jane is currently working as a Scientist at NextCure, Inc. since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Formulations Associate Scientist at Medical Science & Computing (MSC) from November 2019 to April 2022. Jane also served as a QC Analyst at Leidos from June 2018 to October 2019. Jane has prior experience as a Team Member at the Control of Miniaturized System Laboratory, where they collaborated with researchers and students in creating drug-loaded nanoparticle solutions for pre-clinical research. Jane worked in the lab and gained experience in microscopy, analytical methods, and drug development. Additionally, they were a NIFA Summer Research Fellow at USDA, where they conducted experiments to test the efficacy of biosecurity measures in a research swine barn, gaining exposure to microbiology techniques. Jane also worked as a Student Innovator at the Shiekh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation, assisting with projects in the Bioengineering Department and interacting with patients and professionals from different fields. Throughout their work experience, they developed skills in research, laboratory techniques, and engineering methods.

Jane Rouse, M.S. completed their Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Bioengineering at the University of Washington from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Maryland between 2014 and 2018. Jane's educational journey started at Glenelg High School, where they earned their High School Diploma from 2010 to 2014.
