York Moy

Research Scientist at Nobell Foods

York Moy has a long and varied work experience in the field of plant transformation. In 2019, they began working as a Research Scientist at Alpine Roads. From 2004 to present, they have been employed at Corteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, where they have held the role of Senior Research Associate. In this role, they developed a bacterial screening system for plant cell transformation, isolated a new bacterial strain, and developed an efficient Non-Agro soybean transformation system. From 2003 to 2004, they were a Consultant at Del Monte Fresh Produce Company. From 1990 to 2003, they were employed at DNA Plant Technology Corp, where they held the role of Research Associate to Senior Research Associate. During this time, they developed successful Agrobacterium-mediated banana transformation protocol, as well as transformation and plant regeneration methods for various other plants.

York Moy attended San Francisco State University from 1986 to 1989, where they earned a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology.
