Shaneka L. Stanley

Team Leader & Senior Consultant, Outsourcing at Nonprofit HR

Shaneka Stanley engages with nonprofit leaders for organizations around the country as a member of the firm’s HR Outsourcing team. She brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources with a wide range of nonprofit entities including social services, foundations, associations and higher education. Her areas of expertise include talent management, employee relations and training and development.

She began her career at Nonprofit HR in 2012 and, prior to becoming a consultant with the firm, she worked in HR roles at Governors State University, The University of Chicago and Illinois Action for Children.

Shaneka earned her Bachelor of Science in English Education from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, Master of Arts in Communications & Training from Governors State University and Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Roosevelt University. She has been a certified HR professional since 2006.

Shaneka is a Founding Board Member of South Suburban Cook County HR Association, a SHRM affiliate chapter located in Chicago’s south suburbs. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, Joliet Area/South Suburban Alumnae Chapter, currently serving as the Chair of the Physical & Mental Health Committee. Shaneka also volunteers with Public Action to Deliver Shelter – which assists the homeless population in Chicago’s south suburbs. Public service is at the core of her being. She goes beyond giving donations by serving as a mentor, serving the less fortunate and advocating for positive change.
