Vasif Kurbanov

Vasif Kurbanov has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Vasif started their career in 2013 as a Field Production Operator at Rosneft. In 2014, they joined LUKOIL as a Production Operator and later transitioned to the role of Petroleum Engineer. From 2015 to 2018, Vasif worked at Gazpromneft- NTC as a Reservoir Engineer, where they eventually became a Subsurface Team Lead. In 2019, they joined the Shell and Gazpromneft JV as a Production Planning Lead. Following this, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at JSC Zarubezhneft as a Subsurface Team Lead - Reservoir Engineer, leading a multidisciplinary team to support offshore oil and gas production projects in Vietnam and Indonesia. Currently, Vasif holds the position of Senior Reservoir Engineer at North Oil Company Qatar.

Vasif Kurbanov began their education at Udmurt State University from 2008 to 2013, where they obtained a Diploma of Higher Education in Petroleum Engineering. After this, they pursued further studies at Heriot-Watt University from 2013 to 2014, where they graduated with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering.
