Anita MacDonald

Clinical Lead at Nova Scotia Health Authority

Anita MacDonald has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Anita began their career at QEII Hospital as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in 2003. After five years, they transitioned to the role of a PET/CT Technologist. In 2012, Anita joined Jubilant Radiopharma as a PET Product Specialist, and over the years, they progressed to positions of increasing responsibility, including Manager, Senior Manager, and Associate Director in Clinical Applications & Medical Affairs. Currently, Anita holds the position of Clinical Lead at Nova Scotia Health Authority, starting from October 2023.

Anita MacDonald began their education at Dalhousie University from 1997 to 1999, where they completed two years of study in Biology and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Anita then pursued a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Nuclear Medicine and attended Dalhousie University from 1999 to 2003. In 2002, Anita obtained their Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists.

After a gap in their education, Anita attended the University of Fredericton from 2015 to 2018, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Global Leadership.

In terms of additional certifications, Anita obtained a Computed Tomography Imaging Certification (PET/CT) from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists in 2010. In 2012, they achieved Level A1 French certification through the DELF Exam at Alliance Française in Halifax, NS.
