Group Data Protection Officer at Oetker Digital

Tobias Göldner has held various roles in the legal and data protection fields since 2013. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Legal Trainee (Rechtsreferendar) at the Kammergericht Berlin. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at the Bitkom Servicegesellschaft, where they held the role of Head of Bitkom Consult / Data Protection Officer, providing legal advice to companies from the digital economy on data protection issues, and also acting as an external Data Protection Officer for multiple companies. Since 2019, they have been the Oetker Group Data Protection Officer for the Oetker Group, one of Europe’s largest family-owned FMCG companies. In this role, they have been developing a group-wide data protection management system, creating and implementing data protection standards across group companies, and coordinating and sparring with data protection experts of Oetker Group companies. Additionally, they have been providing legal support for the development of digital business models and products for the Oetker Group.

Tobias Göldner is currently pursuing a Master of Laws - LLM in Innovation, Technology and the Law at the University of Edinburgh Law School, beginning in 2021. Prior to this, they completed a Zweite juristische Prüfung at Kammergericht Berlin from 2013 to 2015, and an Erste juristische Prüfung in Rechtswissenschaften at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2008 to 2013. In addition, Tobias holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, obtained in September 2022, a CS50L: CS50 for Lawyers from HarvardX, obtained in November 2020, a Certified Practitioner Data Science (SHB) from IOM Steinbeis-Hochschule-Berlin, Institut für Organisation & Management, obtained in October 2017, and a Betrieblicher Datenschutzbeauftragter from GDDCert, obtained in December 2015.
