Slavtcho Bonev (Slavi)

Slavtcho (Slavi) Bonev has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Slavtcho (Slavi) is currently working as a Senior Applied Scientist at Onfido since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Applied Scientist at Onfido from January 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining Onfido, Slavi worked as a Researcher and PhD Candidate at Université de Genève starting from April 2018.

From July 2017 to December 2020, Slavi served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Epyxs GmbH. Prior to this, they worked as an R&D Project Manager at FERCHAU Engineering from December 2016 to June 2017.

Slavi has also held positions as a Technical Project Manager at Steinbeis Innovation Centre from July 2015 to December 2016, and as a Technical Consultant at Universitätsmedizin Mannheim from July 2010 to June 2015.

Slavtcho (Slavi) held the role of CTO at Epyxs GmbH from July 2008 to June 2011. Prior to this, Slavi worked as a Project Engineer at Hochschule Mannheim from July 2003 to June 2009.

Slavtcho (Slavi) also worked as a Guest Lecturer at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg from September 2004 to August 2007.

Slavi started their career as a Research Assistant at sentronics metrology GmbH from June 2000 to May 2003.

Slavtcho (Slavi) Bonev began their education in 1994 at the Technical University of Sofia, where they earned an Intermediate Diploma in Electronics and Automation in 1995. Slavtcho (Slavi) then continued their studies at Hochschule Mannheim from 1995 to 2000, completing a degree in Nachrichtentechnik (Communications Engineering), earning the title of Dipl.-Ing. (FH). Lastly, Bonev pursued an M.Sc. in Information Technologies at Hochschule Mannheim from 2000 to 2002.
