Vince Kearney

Vince Kearney has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Vince is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Onfido, starting in July 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Technical Apps Lead at ZWILLING J.A. Henckels AG from September 2021 to June 2022.

Before joining ZWILLING J.A. Henckels AG, Vince worked at trivago from December 2019 to August 2021 as an iOS Engineer. In this role, they took charge of improving the internal Redux architecture and mentored junior team members.

From March 2015 to November 2019, Vince was the iOS Lead at SaltDNA. Vince played a key role in implementing the Pre-Key architecture with Axolotl encryption framework and converting it to OLM. Additionally, they added the Group Chat feature to the system, collaborating closely with various stakeholders.

Vince's work experience also includes participating in the Belfast Enterprise Academy program at Belfast City Council from September 2016 to May 2017.

Vince Kearney began their education at St. Patrick's Grammar School from 2004 to 2012, where they studied Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, culminating in their high school degree. Following that, they enrolled in Queens University, Belfast in 2013 and completed their studies in 2018. During this time, Vince pursued a 1st Class Honours Master's Degree in Software and Electronic Systems Engineering (MEng).
