Adam Chobany

Adam Chobany has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. Currently, they serve as the Director of Network and Voice Engineering at OPENLANE, where they lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing stable, secure, and reliable infrastructure. Adam has expanded the company's global operations, achieved significant cost savings through tech modernization, and is involved in supporting technology divestiture. Adam is also leading a team transformation to "NetDevOps" to eliminate toil, stabilize infrastructure, and reduce waste.

Prior to OPENLANE, Adam worked as the Manager of KAR IT: Real-time Communications at KAR Global from 2017 to 2022. In this role, they led a development team and managed product portfolios for employee-facing services. Adam successfully executed major initiatives such as establishing collaboration spaces and centralizing telephony and contact center systems.

Before KAR Global, Adam worked at Cummins Inc. as the Unified Communications Team Lead from 2013 to 2017. During their tenure, they developed and executed a global unified communication strategy, consolidating and modernizing core infrastructure to reduce costs and provide a cohesive collaboration experience.

Adam also held positions at Ingram Micro, Target, Discover Financial Services, Purdue University, and Anderson Community Schools earlier in their career. Overall, their experience spans from technical roles to management positions, demonstrating a diverse skill set and a strong track record of delivering business value.

Adam Chobany obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Telecommunication and Networking Technologies from Purdue University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004.
