David Bogue

Sr Tech Fellow at Otto Aviation

David Bogue has over 28 years of experience in the aerospace industry. In 1992, they began their career as an Engineer at Boeing Commercial Aircraft. In 2006, they moved to Calmar Research Corporation, where they served as Director of Applied Research and was responsible for Business and Regional Jet Design. David developed and implemented an optimization process based on Boeing's Tranair CFD code and consulted on general CFD work as well as transonic optimization. In 2015, they became the Owner of AeroAnalysis. In 2017, they joined Boom Supersonic as an Aerodynamicist and was responsible for Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Cruise Performance, Aero-Propulsion, Take-Off and Landing performance, Aerodynamic Stability and Control, Aerodynamic Loads, Wind Tunnel and Flight Testing, Flight simulator aerodynamics, Shape optimization, and Multi-Disciplinary Optimization (MDO). In 2020, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Otto Aviation, where they are a Team leader and technology contributor, as well as the Chief Aerodynamicist and CTO.

David Bogue attended the University of Washington from 1990 to 1992 and obtained a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics.
