Jaup Koo

Jaup Koo's work experience starts in 2000 as a Field Service Engineer at Applied Materials. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as an Assistant Manager in Customer Service at LG Energy Solution. JAUP then had various managerial roles at LG Energy Solution, including Manager of Customer Quality, Senior Production Manager in Cell Formation, and Senior Quality Assurance Manager, from 2005 to 2017.

From 2017 to 2020, Jaup Koo worked at Samsung Electronics as a Principal Engineer in the Battery Development Group, where they led quality improvement projects for battery suppliers and cross-functional teams for battery manufacturers.

From 2020 to 2022, they worked at LG Energy Solution as a Senior Manager in Cell Assembly Operations.

In 2022, Jaup Koo joined Rivian as a Senior Manager of Quality and Validation, where they led cell validation, quality engineering, and formation process engineering for a new cell model. JAUP also developed strategies and implemented quality and formation processes for battery production plants.

In 2023, they became the Director of Quality Engineering at Our Next Energy (ONE).

Jaup Koo completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Korea University from 1992 to 2000. JAUP later obtained an MBA in General studies from National Chengchi University from 2007 to 2009.
