Daniel Whitney

Daniel Whitney has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Daniel started their career in 1997 as the Director of Human Resources & Operations at International Bridge Corporation. From 2003 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Recruiter at Business Management Services. Whitney then joined Microsoft in 2008 and held various roles, including Sr. Staffing Manager for different business groups. Daniel received several awards for their performance during their tenure at Microsoft. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Starbucks as the Director of Global Talent Acquisition and Director of Executive Recruiting & Central Sourcing. In 2018, they joined Tableau Software as the Senior Director of Global Recruiting until 2020. In 2021, they became a Founding Member of TLIX: Talent Leader Information Exchange, a networking group for talent acquisition professionals. From 2020 to 2022, they held the position of Sr. Director of Global Recruiting at Outreach, and they were promoted to Vice President of Global Recruiting in 2022. In 2023, Whitney joined HIGHER Community as an Executive Member. Daniel also served as an Executive Board Member at the Seattle Sports Commission starting from 2015.
