Robert Xue (Yan)

Robert (Yan) Xue has a diverse work experience starting from 2010 to present. Robert (Yan) is currently working at Outreach as a Data Science Manager since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Salesforce as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer from May 2021 to November 2021. From 2018 to 2021, they held the position of Principal Member Of Technical Staff at Salesforce. Before joining Salesforce, they worked at Groupon for four years as a Software Development Engineer. At Groupon, they were involved in the Behavioral Modelling Team, focusing on real-time site anomaly and threat detection using Spark, Storm, and Kafka. Robert (Yan) also worked on the Automated Merchandising Team, utilizing machine learning and optimization methods for deal arrangement, implemented in Java. Before Groupon, Robert worked as a Data Scientist Intern at BrokerSavant, where they developed a marketing report engine and web analytics dashboard for commercial real estate brokers. In their early career, they worked as a Student Analytics Consultant at TransUnion, where they developed a visualization tool using Tableau to analyze credit data and improved the tool's performance using data warehousing techniques. Robert (Yan) started their career as an Actuary Intern at AIA.

Robert (Yan) Xue began their education by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Insurance from Fudan University. Robert (Yan) attended this university from 2008 to 2012. After completing their undergraduate studies, Robert pursued further education at Northwestern University from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a Master's degree in Analytics.
