Tom Wagstaff

Tom Wagstaff has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Their most recent position is as a Principal Data Scientist at Oxford Policy Management, which they started in 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Data Analyst at The Health Foundation and Data Scientist at Impact on Urban Health in 2021. From 2019 to 2021, Tom worked as a Lead Analyst at Funding Circle UK. Tom also has experience as a Data Scientist at Raising IT from 2017 to 2019. In 2017, Tom was a Senior Economist at Crisis, where they produced reports on housing for homeless people and forecasted fundraising revenue. Prior to that, Tom held advisory positions at the Department for International Development (DFID) and Ministério de Indústria e Comércio, Moçambique. At DFID, they worked as an Economic Adviser and Assistant Economic Adviser, focusing on green growth policy and job creation. At Ministério de Indústria e Comércio, Moçambique, Tom served as an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow. Before that, they worked at the Department for International Development as an Assistant Economic Adviser and advised on the European Bank for Reconstruction Development (EBRD) and trade policy with the EU.

Tom Wagstaff earned their Bachelor's Degree in PPE from the University of Oxford, where they attended from 2001 to 2004. Tom then pursued further education by completing a Master's Degree in Development Economics at The University of Manchester from 2004 to 2005.
