Edison Kivatsi, CEM, CMVP has diverse work experience in the field of energy engineering and sustainability. Edison has served as a Principal Energy Engineer at Pactiv Evergreen Inc. since April 2022, where they manage portfolio budgets, demand response programs, and utility invoices. Prior to this role, they worked as a Sr. Energy Engineer at the same company from January 2018 to March 2022, leading the demand side management program and facilitating audits for energy reduction opportunities.

Before joining Pactiv Evergreen Inc., Edison worked as an Outreach Account Manager at DNV GL from October 2014 to January 2018. Edison also served as a Sustainability Engineer - Contractor at PepsiCo Americas Foods from September 2012 to January 2018, where they supported sustainability initiatives and managed sustainability data for manufacturing plants.

Edison also had experience as a Building Maintenance Engineer at Presbyterian Homes from October 2009 to September 2012.

Additionally, Edison has international work experience, including serving as an Education Program Manager at Centre d’Etudes et des Recherches en Education de Base (CEREBA) in DR Congo from September 2007 to December 2008. In 2013, they earned their Masters of Engineering in Energy Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago. Additionally, they obtained a High School Diploma in General Mechanics from Institut Technique Industriel de Goma in 2000. Edison has also obtained several certifications including CEM (Certified Energy Manager) and CMVP (Certified Measurement & Verification Professional) from the Association of Energy Engineers in 2015 and 2016 respectively. In 2011, they also obtained a Building Analyst Professional Certificate from the Building Performance Institute, Inc.
