Bruce Stewart-Brown has extensive work experience in the poultry industry. Bruce started their career in 1985 as a Technical Services Manager for Poultry at Solvay Animal Health. In 1997, they joined Fort Dodge Animal Health as the Director of Global Technical Services, Poultry, before transitioning to Perdue Farms in 1998.

At Perdue Farms, Bruce held various senior leadership roles. Bruce served as the Regional Poultry Veterinarian for a brief period before becoming the Director of Health Services, where they were responsible for the overall health of millions of chickens and turkeys produced by the company. In 2003, they were promoted to Senior Vice President of Food Safety and Quality, overseeing the food safety and quality programs for Perdue Farms and its associated brands.

Bruce further advanced their career at Perdue Farms and became the Senior Vice President of Live Production, Food Safety, and Quality in 2013. In this role, they had additional responsibilities for the company's live operations, including parent breeders, hatcheries, feed mills, and broiler growout. Most recently, Bruce served as the Senior Vice President of Technical Services and Innovation, overseeing various departments such as veterinary health, nutritional services, research, laboratory services, animal welfare programs, and biosecurity programs.

Throughout their career, Bruce has demonstrated expertise in maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and animal welfare in the poultry industry.

Bruce Stewart-Brown obtained their Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degrees in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University, where they studied from 1976 to 1985.
