Shelly Buckle

Shelly Buckle, CPA, MBA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Shelly is currently the Director of Technical Accounting at Porch Group, where they utilize their finance and operational expertise to solve financial and operational risk challenges. Shelly also provides technical accounting and M&A support across various businesses. Prior to their current role, Shelly worked at Mastercard as a Technical Accounting Manager, where they provided support for M&A integration, technical accounting, and policy alignment. Shelly also managed the implementation of new accounting processes and served as the Finance Learning Champion for the global Controllers' team. Before joining Mastercard, Shelly was the Financial Reporting Manager at USI Insurance Services, where they played a key role in creating accounting policies and procedures and ensuring SOX compliance. Shelly also trained the finance team on internal control documentation techniques. Shelly started their career at KPMG LLP, where they held various positions, including Senior Associate in Internal Audit, Risk & Advisory, and Senior Audit Associate. Shelly has a strong background in auditing and risk management.

Shelly Buckle, CPA, MBA has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the University of Technology, Jamaica. Shelly obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from NASBA in 2009. Shelly completed their Forbes School of Business MBA from The University of Arizona Global Campus in 2022. Additionally, they hold certifications in "Preparing to Lead: Developing Mental Toughness in Yourself" and "Leading without Formal Authority" from LinkedIn.
