Charlie Hung has extensive work experience in manufacturing engineering and operations. Charlie currently holds the position of Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Proterra Inc, where they are responsible for developing visions and plans for world-class manufacturing on EV battery packs. Charlie also oversees multi-site responsibilities and leads strategic solutions for sustainable productivity gains. Prior to their current role, Charlie worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Northrop Grumman and as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Meggitt. Charlie also gained valuable experience at GE Aviation as an Operations Engineering Manager, CI Lead/Industrialization Staff Engineer, and Program Manager. Charlie began their career at Honeywell as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Program Manager and started their engineering journey at Ford Motor Company as an Active Safety Engineer specializing in autonomous vehicle development and safety systems.

Charlie Hung holds a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Michigan. Prior to their graduate studies, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
