As a Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and managing various risks (e.g. strategic, credit, operational), developing risk management controls and contingency plans and communicating recommendations to entity's and group's management.

A Day in the Life of a Risk Manager at Qualco will include:

  • Implementing the risk management system approved by the management, including leading practices, policies, and regulatory requirements;
  • Performing risk assessment and evaluation of entities risks by analyzing the current situation and identifying potential risks that are affecting the entity;
  • Reporting identified and assessed risks to the management;
  • Establishing the level of risk, the entity is willing to take (risk appetite);
  • Promoting risk culture and raise awareness within the entity;
  • Providing thought partnership, risk analytics (e.g. return on Risk Mitigation investments), and recommendations around remediation, risk mitigation, or process improvement to the local C-Level, management and risk owners;
  • Consulting on new products, services and procedures in matters related to making new business decisions or significant changes;
  • Participation in the process of external assignments, both in the pre-contractual and contractual stages to manage the risks involved in the relevant agreements;
  • Consulting and coordinate with other control-related functions (e.g. Compliance, Info Sec, Audit);
  • Regularly reporting updates on risk management to the local management and Central Risk Management;
  • Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
