Udayan Banerji

Udayan Banerji has a diverse work experience, starting with a Software Engineer role at Qualcomm in 2010, where they worked as an SW Apps Intern. Udayan then interned at Auryn in 2011, where they developed a common back-end for a painting app and worked on the Android version of the UI. Udayan also worked as a Grader in the Security Systems Lab at the University of Southern California, conducting weekly classes and grading submissions.

In 2011, Udayan joined Intel Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they contributed to the conversion of the x86 Java compiler for Android into a sophisticated pass-based compiler. Udayan added loop infrastructure, SSA, register allocator, and a vectorizer for simple loops, resulting in significant speed gains for byte and integer operations.

In 2015, Udayan joined Motorola as a Senior Software Engineer and worked there until 2016.

Since 2016, Udayan has been working at Quora. Udayan has held various roles including Staff Software Engineer, Product Manager for Mobile, Engineering Manager for Moderation, Engineering Manager for Mobile, Engineering Manager for Creator Experience, and Technical Lead Manager for Mobile.

Udayan Banerji's education history begins in 2005 when they enrolled at Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Udayan pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and completed their studies in 2009. Subsequently, they joined the University of Southern California in 2009 to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science. Udayan completed their Master's studies in 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Udayan Banerji obtained a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Linking from Coursera in May 2021.
