Lead GNC Engineer at Radian Aerospace

Brian Eberle, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Brian is currently serving as the Lead GNC Engineer at Radian Aerospace since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Draper as a Senior Member Of Technical Staff from November 2020 to February 2023. Brian also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology from January 2017 to October 2020, where they specialized in Nonlinear Model Predictive Control for helicopters. In addition, Brian worked as a Flight Instructor at Centennial Aviation Academy from September 2018 to December 2019. Brian gained valuable internships experience with GE Aviation, where they focused on mechanical engineering projects. Brian worked on aerodynamic performance and mission simulations for Next Generation Air Dominance engine competition in 2016. In 2015, they worked on the F414 Turbofan Engine Afterburner Design Team and conducted ANSYS Workbench validations. In 2014, Brian worked on testing and implementation of a passive thermal management system for aviation power systems and contributed to production by implementing engineering changes in design.

Brian Eberle, PhD, has a strong educational background in Mechanical Engineering. Brian pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they obtained in 2016. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Brian then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completing it in 2018. Brian further pursued their academic endeavors by successfully completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Brian Eberle has also obtained certifications to complement their academic achievements. Brian is a Certified Flight Instructor-Airplane, obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration in August 2018, showcasing their expertise in aviation. Furthermore, Brian holds a Commercial Airplane Pilot certification, also obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration.
